Authentic
Pilates™ is a full body exercise
program that educates, realigns and balances the body, which builds
lean flexible muscles. The Pilates Method increases coordination and
improves
body alignment
and posture while relieving stress and tension. Pilates focuses on precision
of form. More than 500 specific exercises are done on five pieces
of
unique apparatus (private
sessions on
the apparatus are by appointment
only), as well
as mat. Each exercise requires complete concentration and controlled
movements, which heightens mind-body awareness.
Work-out
sessions are customized to individual needs. |

Leslie Anthony of Traditional Pilates®,
is certified to teach Authentic Pilates™ exercises, and is a member of the Pilates
Guild. Certification requires completion of 800 hours of apprenticeship,
which includes teaching, observation, seminars, and passing three stages
of written and oral examinations on apparatus and mat work. Leslie was personally
trained in New York City by the original protégé of Joseph
Pilates, Romana Kryzanowska. |
